Weird noises from under hood

I noticed about a week ago that there was this really odd hum / buzzing sound coming from under the hood when I reached around 5000 rpm, then today I noticed that I am only pushing Max 6 lbs boost. I am thinking that the turbo took a dump.

What do you guys think??

hey i think i have a pr oblem similar to yours. i just posted about it. dint see your post here though. mine comes at about 4000rpm though and my boost gauge (stock gauge) reads almost normal (~10-11psi). is it a really loud annoying kind of sound? does it feel like the turbo doesnt spool anymore?

yeah, mine feels like it doesn't spool either, but I can slightly hear the regular spooling sound from 3000 to like 4500 then I hear the weird buzzing sound. I have the stock boost guage also but it only reads like 6 lbs boost at max
