I just got a 92 gsx, and I've noticed it's making a weird noise. It is coming from the top left corner of the head. It's kind of a tapping/ knocking noise. But when I push the clutch in, the noise goes away. Does anyone have any ideas to what it could be?

Diffidently sounds like the through out bearing. My car did the same thing. I adjusted the clutch and it stopped right away.

how can it be a dumb question???...it is a newbie forum man.....:p i dont know the answer to your question since i have a moduler clutch in mine....

Well I'm not saying this will fix your problem for sure but you can go under the your dash by the pedal Assembly and adjust your clutch height. Not a comfortable position but you will see where the pedal assembly attaches to the clutch master cylinder. If your clutch height is low this might fix it other wise if your clutch height is fine I wouldn't adjust anything and you might need to change the through out bearing. Adjust the master cylinder rod out to raise the clutch height and in to lower. The problem I had was that the clutch pedal was disengaging and engaging to close to the floor.Causing the clutch fork to disengage to much. That was causing the through out bearing to chirp and make weird noises when ever I wasn't pushing the in clutch. Check out the vfaq on doing this. Heres the link http://mywebpages.comcast.net/njdsm2/clutch.html Good Luck

Yep Id bet its the throwoug bearing. I had one mess up in my truck comin home from work one night but its cause i popped of the line running a crx and some how it messed it up...
