weird noise but i dont know if its the transmission

whats up i just got a 95 2ga talon tsi awd its like all stock some bolt on but i bought the car it ran fine then after driving like 100 miles on the highway all of a sudden when i got off the exit it sounded like i was dragging something but i wasn't and the more i drove it the louder it got but when i put in the clutch it goes away but i was told its not a tob because i don't hear the noise all the time once i shut it off of a while and the start it back up i can drive it for like 20 mine and then the noise comes back and i don't know where its coming from or what it could be so if anyone knows or could help that would be great thanks.

if you are going down the road and you throw it in neutral what does it sound like? still dragging or like when you press in the clutch?

it makes a like grinding noise and like dragging one but its really loud but it all goes away once you have the clutch to the floor so idont know if its something in the clutch Assembly or if its the tc i drained the fluid and the tranny had fluid in it and the tc only had like no fluid in it and it was a dark grey

Did you happen to pull the clutch and inspect the springs on the disc?
