Im having a strange problem with the low oil pressure light in my car. It comes on at idle whenever the oil gets warmed up. But thats not the strange thing. Whenever i go around bends where im turning/banking to the left, the light comes on even if im at like 3k rpms. Its like the momentum of the car pushing everything to the right makes the light come on.

I was thinking it was the sensor so i hooked up a mechanical pressure gauge, and i was getting about 12-15psi at idle, and around 60-65 at about 3.5k. Like i said, i think its the sensor but i was just curious if anyone else had this prob?

I would have to say that if you're getting pressure #'s like that . . . the oil pressure switch which is hooked up to the idiot light may either be going bad, or just have a bad connection.
The #s from the mechanical gauge look good :thumb:

Have you checked your oil level? My teg burned oil really bad and when my oil got low, that is what happened. Tthe oil light would come on. If i made a sharp turn or a sudden stop and the oil was low, the light would come. Check your oil and make sure that you are not low. :thumb:

I actually do have a bad leak from my cam seal which i plan on fixing this weekend, but im constantly checking the oil level to make sure its where it should be. I just thought it was real weird that it came on only on left hand turns or while banking to the left. thanks for the replies
