So when my car is fully warmed up, I get about 10psi oil pressure. Then it goes all the way to 60psi while cruising at around 3k. Why is it such a big difference? I have my balance shafts blocked and did not port my OFH. If the high pressure was caused by not porting the OFH, then while is it still low at idle?

Why do you think 60 PSI is high? The motor is under more load and stress, therefore the pump is working harder to lubricate your engine, which means higher oil PSI (the most basic description of how it all works). On all the DSMs I have owned, at 3,000 RPMs is when the oil pressure picks up, and it's always around that 60 PSI mark, so I am not sure what you are asking here. Your car is doing what it is suppose to.

Well put. Don't worry about the pressure, it's running normally.

ok, so the 10psi on idle is normal? Idle is about 750 rpm.

Yes you will notice when you start the car as you said the pressure runs higher until the car gets up to temp. Then on idle it runs right around 10 PSI because the car isn't under any load and requires less oil to lubricate the rotating assembly as less oil is being lost to the low rotation. As soon as you get moving you will see a significant spike in pressure, and 3,000 seems to be right where we start seeing the most oil flow.

Edit: 750 to 800 is where our cars should idle, should be mostly steady at either extremes of the range or right in the middle. Too much fluctuation can indicate other issues.
