Weird, air-like or scrape-like, sound coming from passenger side of my engine bay

So as I was driving back from my friends house tonight, I noticed a weird whining sound coming from the passenger side of my engine bay. It's not too loud but it's noticeable and it occurs even when I'm not in boost but I am on the throttle. Kinda sounds like a splash guard rubbing the ground/tire, but it's not that. I checked for boost leaks, loose intake pipes, etc. I re-tightened everything but it's still there. Turbo still spools fine, and bov still sounds normal. I don't know if it's always been there and I never noticed, or if it just started. I just wanna know if it's something I should be worried about or not.
Car is a 98 GSX, stock everything except for 1G BOV and Injen intake.

Maybe the started not coming off the flywheel?

Yep had the same problem, it splits an slings the grease out..have fun cleaning it of everything under there...

I had a similar problem with a bent rim, but you couldn't see it. I got it on a balance machine and when it rotates you can see how it is bent. It unevenly rubbed against the rotor due to the weight and every rotation you could hear it. I suggest jacking up the car and looking at your suspension and rotate your wheels to see if you can hear it, and check for play as it could be a bad wheel bearing.

It could also be the boot, my dad split one in my mom's kia doing who the hell knows what, and it makes a similar noise which you described. All the grease fell out as well which is what causes the noise.
