Weight Loss Question

I was wanting to strip out my interior, mainly my backseat to make it lighter. Is there any build your own backseats type of thing people have done before? I still want their to be a place for people to sit JIC.

Either you lose the backseat all together or leave it. If you take out the backseat just to build another backseat what good does that do? The way it is right now the backseat doesn't way that much at all. The bottom is just foam with a covering and can be removed in seconds with just a couple clips. The seat backs are a little heavier, but again nothing real serious. I say leave the backseat alone unless you are very serious about losing weight and then you just will have to do without a backseat. Hope I didn't rain on your parade, but removing ONLY the rear seat really isn't going to shed much weight.

I agree with gravedigger. Besides.. the rear seats are extremely easy and quick to remove anyways. I mean if you wanna race or whatever with less weight.. remove them. If you wanna haul some people.. put em in. But they hardly weigh anything in the first place. Good luck man
