Ways of spotting possible crank walk

Hello. i will possible buying my first dsm this saturday. The car is a 96 gst. Ive searched but the info is hard to sort through. Can someone please tell me what are the best ways of testing the car for possible crank walk. Link to helpful sites would also be apreciated. Thanks

Ultimately the only way to truly know is to measure the crank endplay.

Before you buy the car take it to a mechanic and ask them to check the cranks end play to see if it is within specs and check the thrust bearing for wear.

I keep hearing about the clutch feel while making a hard left turn. What exactly are you supposed to do with the clutch while making the turn.
