alright well i have 88k miles on my eclipse rs now and i know the water pumps gonna be due soon so i figure well i got the money i might as well do it, so it doesnt jump up and suprise me well im broke. all's i wanted to know is there anything for sure you have to take off to do the water pump like belts, head... etc. Cause i figure if i ahve to take the t-belt off ill replace it as i dont know if its ever been done, also if i had to take the head off i would replace the gasket.

Also i want to do a trans flush on my eclipse its a 5spd and the book says to use some texaco crap can i still use the gm syncromesh or pennzoil syncromesh as i heard these are good trans fluids.

Also does anyone know where i can get these parts onlne, like a dsm specialty shop that would have a water pump, HG etc.. i really dont want to go to the dealer as they rape you and i dont have much confidence in an auto parts store

For tranny fluid, I used BG Synchroshift. Made a slight difference. Get a factory manual off eBay. It'll tell you what needs to be done with diagrams. Do a google search for Mitsubishi OEM parts and find what you need then have the dealer price match it or buy them online. Make sure they're not backordered at the dealership or it may take months for the parts to come in and Mitsu doesn't like giving money back...
