Any good threads around concerning the water pump removal? I'm not having any luck with the search button.
 
I looked at that. Didn't really see why the timing belt needs to come out to get the water pump removed. But, I've never done this on this car before either...
 
Check the 5th picture here for a good visual: Your motor on the engine stand. If you can figure out how to get to some of those bolts out easily without removing the timing belt, thoroughly clean the gasket surface, and reinstall the pump with gasket correctly, more power to you.
