Water Pump and Hydraulic Tensioner OEM only?

What do you all run for the water pump and hydraulic tensioner?

The price of the OEM stuff is rather high but don't want to wreck my engine later.

Any advice would be appreciated.

is the general consensus when searching the numerous threads

Check out rockauto.com for WP and JNZtuning.com for tensioner. Also get the timing belt pullies. Don't mix the 2 hyd. tensioner bolts with other bolts, they are a special set of bolts.

That's what I have been using with good results.

Tensioner = OEM ONLY
Waterpump = OEM, or use gates to save a few bucks.

Gates makes the OEM pump, so buy a Gates and save a lot of $$$.

The gates pump makes installing the pump pulley so much easier since it has the alignment tit, where as the stock pump does not.

do you have a picture of the gates impeller? I just installed a SKF pump, I wanted to try the new impeller of these.
