I noticed that when building my car that the water pump was missing the pulleys. i received the pulleys and now noticed when i was seeing where they go that i do not have enough room to get a socket to tighten the bolts. can someone help or direct me to a page that explains how to install these. thanks

I use a 10mm wrench there is not enough room with the engine in the car.

Wrong, you put a jack and a block of wood under the oil pan that is long enough to not crush it. Remove the right side motor mount and jack up the car until you have enough space.

What he said.

There is 1 long bolt, I think its a 17. Put the jack and wood on the oil pan first. Then take the bolt out and jack up the car enough that you can get it. It just takes some time and patience. You might be able to get a open end in there but much easier to jack the motor up.:thumb:

thanks for the info, would anyone know the sizes to these bolts so i can pick up the hardware. also for the motor mount, would mitsubishi still have an oem bolt that runs through the motor mount on the drivers side?

Both the water pump and motor mount are in the link I sent you. Im sure you print off that page and go to the parts store or dealer and go to town:thumb:

These sights can help you alot down the road. Jnztuning has almost every OEM part. Just give them a call and im sure thell help you out. I know the dealer is the best option (at least for me). I was looking for injector or rings and they said to go to lowes, thats where they go I guess.

thanks for the info on the parts and how to access the area. turns out that the engine was sagging too low and that if it was in the right position it was easier to get to the bolts and install the motor mount. also the parts you showed me were for a 2g but the bolts do match for the pump pulleys. thanks alot for the help
