water pulley

is the water pump pulley supposed to be in 2 peices, when i took it off it was in two.

Well if your talking about the other pulley that's mounted on the same shaft then yes it is two pieces. But if it's not round like a pizza then you are in trouble my friend.

2 pieces being that it really is 2 pulleys yes. Don't put them on reversed like a lot of people do. And they better not wobble.

they are both round still. there was no mention that they were 2 peices in the manual so i got worried. is there any special way to put it back on?

one fits inside the other....

Just be greatful you don't have an aftermarket 1 piece...boy is that a pain to take out on my 2g/6bolt

The same way it came off of course. One of them, I think it is the outer one that does not fit inside the other, if put on backwards will have itself not lined up with the alt pulley properly (offset a little) and you will go through alt belts.

oh, you guys were talking about the pulleys (sorry, posted really late last night ). There is 1 small one and one big one. The smaller one attaches to the actuall waterpump and the larger one is concave and attaches to the smaller pulley. There is also a small notch between the 4 bolt holes so that you align the pulleys together correctly
