So after installing my Fp green I started my car and the waterpipe is leaking at the thermostat housing. I'm guessing I knocked the o-ring out of place when denting the pipe. My question is, What is the easiest way to go about fixing the leak? I've seen that its either I pull the thermostat housing or water pump. I am going to take off the thermostat housing, but am I going to have to drop my turbo and everything again just to get the o-ring lines up or could I manage to get it in place with the turbo still connected?

You should be able to remove the water pipe by removing the thermostat housing and the water pump. You do not need to remove the turbo, exhaust manifold, etc. You may be able to remove the water pipe without removing the water pump, I personally never removed it without removing the engine. But if you remove the water pump and thermostat housing the water pipe will definitely come out. If you are using a water cooled turbo that is getting fed from the water pipe you obviously have to disconnect the water lines going to the turbo.

My turbo is only oil cooled. I'm going to remove the thermostat housing and unbolt and waterpipe from the block and hopefully ill get enough room for the o-ring to line up. I never have done this before so I wanted to get a little insight so thank you. It was such a bummer starting the car and seeing no leaks for a minute or so then coolant just starting flowing out.

Since you've got a dry housing how did you wrap the coolant feed/return lines going to the turbo? Just curious, maybe the t-stat housing isn't actually whats leaking it could be the coolant lines going to the turbo.

I just looped them. At first, I thought it was the turbo lines but I shut the car off and looked at them first. I squeezed the radiator hose and seen it was coming from the waterpipe in the thermostat housing. I can feel where its coming out right where it connects to the thermostat housing.

It would be a hell of alot easier if you would pull the manifold and turbo set off; off the motor itself..

The water pipe that connects the water pump to the thermostat housing can be taken off without removing the water pump..

Removing the water pump is a whole lot of extra work you have to do if the water pipe is the one thats really even leaking...

Hope this info helps.
Nick.

Well a little update. I pulled the thermostat housing off and the o-ring isn't ripped or anything, but I'm sure its the stock one. I unbolted the downpipe to o2 bolts and loosened the manifold to turbo bolts to get the turbo off the water pipe to see if when the turbo is tight if it moves the water pipe any but it didn't. Once I get my o rings ill install one and see if it leaks.
