I have a leak in a water pipe that's right behind the turbo. It's leaking at the joint so I'm gonna assume it's a gasket that needs to be replaced. It's to the right of the turbo near the timing belt cover. I posted a link to a gasket but I don't know if it's the right one. It says the water pipe to pump gasket but is it the same gasket as the other side of the pipe? If not can you post a link to the gasket I need. (preferably not a whole set)

Yep, that is it. It's just 1 o-ring for that pipe for the inlet to water pump. I strongly recommend cleaning the pipe end that the oring will sit on there will be rust and crud there and using coolant as a lube to insert the pipe with ring on end of pipe. Do not put the ring in the outlet you run the risk of pinching it.

May be easier to remove the exhaust manifold to do this.

Make absolute sure it isn't your water pump.

And parts stores can carry that ring. Just pop the pipe off and bring the pipe to them. Make sure you get the best fitting (not too tight) and thickest o ring you can.

Sorry, I don't know the size offhand.

The pipe is held on with two bolts that mount to the engine block one on passenger side and other on front remove the 2 bolts and using a large screw driver or pry bar gently pry the pipe to the passenger side until it clears the water pump inlet. Use a scotch bright and coolant to clean off any rust and crud and install new o-ring gently reinsert pipe into water pump line up bolt holes and reinstall bolts and manifold.

Three bolts-
1. Behind exhaust manifold
2. Behind thermostat housing
3. Behind thermostat housing, holds a wiring harness to it.

Then remove all hoses.
1. By the alternator for your oil filter housing
2. Behind the thermostat housing for your FIAV

You are going to need to remove your thermostat housing IIRC. Since the 2G waterpipe goes into it.

how do i remove the one by the timing belt? its very tight against the cover

There is only one bolt that holds it to the block and that is behind the turbo. The only other thing that holds it to the engine is the clamp on the heater hose pipe section. There is also one 10mm head bolt that connects the oil cooler line to the water pipe.

There is no bolt on the timing cover side at all. Just one behind the turbo, one on the bellhousing, and a bolt that attaches it to the oil cooler pipe.

The pipe curls around the passenger side of the engine block use a screwdriver or small pry bar against the engine and pry pipe towards passenger side.
