I have been doing plenty of reading on water injection lately and soon im gonna buy a kit or make my own. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this kit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WATE...42604QQitemZ8035371862QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

And what nozzle size should i get for my car the 200cc or the 300cc? mods are:
MBC, 3" RNR turbo-back, boost gauge, egt gauge, logger, safc, 34mm flapper, self-ported exh. mani, turbine housing, custom 02 housing external dump, symbroski shift kit, 550cc injectors, walbro 190, maft, jrc fmic, egr block off

with 550cc x 4 injectors= 2200cc
x .80 injector duty cycle = 1760cc
x .15 water to fuel = 264cc

if my math is correct this lands me pretty close to the middle of the 200cc and 300cc size nozzles available? what should i get if i buy this kit? thanks

I'm not sure on what size nozzles you need, but I remember reading on both this site and on my mustang forums that people use this "becoool" water injection kit. If you do a search under his ebay name it should come up.

I'm sure someone else will chime in about the size of the injectors, but if not those guys seem pretty knowledgabe about DSM's so you might want to let them know your mods and see what they recommend.

thanks for the replies. yea ive looked into the coolingmist one too, im debating on which kit would be better for me. Anyone else with nozzle size recommendations or any other info on these kits?

Im looking to get into Water/Alcohol Injection myself. Im surprised how much stuff you need to know before going into getting a kit. Im running a PTE 57 Trim and a Dejon Super Sidemount, I think having an injector before the IC and at the throttle body would be best. Any thoughts on what nozzle sizes?

You do not want to ge pre intercooler for a few reasons.

1. The water/meth can/will collect in there, restricting the ability for it to cool to its potential.

2. Meth will eat your intercooler from the inside out if it is made of aluminum, as alcohol and aluminum are incompatible.

3. You will be reducing the ability of your intercooler. The hotter the aire going through an intercooler, the more degrees it will drop. So if the air going through is 200 degrees, it will cool it to 120 degrees (I am just making up numbers for an example). If you cool the pre intercooler air with water/meth injection, to say 150 degrees, then the intercooler will only cool it to 110 degrees, netting you a 90 degree cool down with both the intercooler and the water injection. Your net cooling effect will be greater if you inject post intercooler.

The main reasons are number 1 and 2 though.

As for nozzle sizes, do you know your injector size? That will help a lot, because from there it is just a formula for a starting point of injection.

I have Denso 720's my vehicle profile is up to date.

The common agreement is that you want 10-15% water to fuel. So the following is based on 12.5% water to fuel, at an 85% fuel injector duty cycle. You can download the spreadsheet if you have Excel, by clicking here.

4.9 gph, or roughy 306 CC/min. That is water only, so if you use a meth/water mix, then that number can/will go up, because there will be less water in a given amount of fluid. As you have probably read other places, there is no one set answer for a specific engine, but this is a good place to start.

I'll be buying the BECool 150 psi injection kit in the middle of next month when I do my intercooler and turbo upgrade. It's a hell of a kit for the $$.

I ran this kit forever on my T-bird TC then build the exact sme kiet for cheaper to go on my dad's GN. It is agreat kit and very, very affordable... I can build an aquamist cheaper than their sales price too. And cheaper precentage wise than the becool kit. I suppose aquamist is more obliged to dip into your wallet. They have a big name you have to pay for.

Nevertheless, you get great customer service with BeCooling. That is rare for the water injection industry. This is really adventageous to those of us who are noobs in water injectiong and need advice from hands-on/vendor experience.
