2G Water in manual trans?

Does the manual trans have a cooler? I didn't think it did. I just drained my fluid and well... Water must have gotten in. It HAS been sitting in there dormant for ten years.

No cooler. Is the vent cap on the top missing or broken off?

Hopefully the water collected in a thin layer below the gears and did not cause rust on them. It should not have damaged the aluminum case at all. Proper inspection would mean removing and disassembling the trans, but perhaps a boroscope/ camera in the fill and drain plug holes may suffice to detect corrosion damage.

I took off and inspected the vent. Everything seems fine there. I didn't notice anything leaking with seals underneath. I will inspect inside on my next fluid change which won't be too long. I want to run this through and change it within 1000 miles or so. The transfer case fluid looked bad but expectable. The rear diff was chocolate milk with metal swirl. The first time I moved the car on its own power in ten years, it went forward and back fine. When I went to turn it bound up in the back. If I pressed the gas, the tires would skip? Hop? Felt Bound. After 4 attempts whatever it was broke free. Awd still works. Nothing sounds or feels broken so I'm not sure what broke free but after seeing water in the rear diff too, I'm not surprised.

If I had to guess I would say it’s moisture from condensation. Has the gas been sitting in the tank dormant for 10 years as well?

Yes. I ran the old gas out by disconnecting the filter and running the pump. I unfortunately had to put the old filter back on because it's the only one that will seat correctly on the bottom fitting. I tried two other filters. One was an OEM Mitsubishi filter and the other was from AutoZone. Both leaked on the bottom. I put the old one back on and no leak. Not sure what's going on there. the only visible difference in the filters is the new ones have more threads so the inlet is slightly longer. Sucks because I'd really like to change that filter. But I have filled it up twice now, each time using fuel system cleaner.

It does have idle issues. Low idle cold.(300. Yes 300..) sometimes it'll be where it should say 800 but not for long. High idle warm. (1000-1500) tried adjusting biss. This is the best I've gotten it. Tried running without the IAC plugged in too. Only code is p0443 and SOMETIMES, but almost never, p0202 pops up.

I know there's some kind of a ground issue with my blinkers. right side blinks fast and the two bulbs alternate "wig wag" within right rear blinker. Interior door lights don't turn on with doors or dash switch. Tested door switches. They do work. Lights come on if I ground them at the door switch with or without the switch. Cruise control works but I have to push the button 500 times and hold it when cruise finally does turn on to cruise. High beams won't stay on.

I know. Irrelevant. But my point is there's a ground issue somewhere and I don't know the extent or know the electrical system enough to know if this could effect engine systems.

And that's pretty much all my known situations right now.
