wategate touching the exhaust pipe

I just install my manifold and the wastegate is like 1/8" away from touching my exhaust pipe. Is this to close or what?

Well heat in the exhaust area is a good thing

What i mean is.. if the tial wastegate is touching the exhaust pipe a little will this heat it up and hinder performance or am i over thinking this?

The wastegate is already part of the exhaust. It cant get that much hotter. If you look at other's setups some are pretty close as well. I really doubt you will have any problems performance wise. As long as you dont melt ## hose to the wastegate.
