Hi guys I did look for this, the lines for the wastegate but nothing was very clear? I am getting a turbo smart wastegate 38 mm Its going on with a 54mm garret turbo going for 500hp. My exhaust manifold has a flange off to the side to accept the wastegate
My question there are two nipples on the wastegate from what I have learned the top one is for pressure going in and the bottom for it to relase right? but where do you hook up those lines for the waste gate do they go to the intake manifold, or the j pipe, the MBC?
Question two, the wastegate comes off from the exhaust manifold. but there is an exit port for it like on your BOV, if I leave the wastegate to vent to atmosphere will it cause problems. I see you can buy a o2 housing that will hook up to the entry of the wastegate and then the exit, I know if you leave the BOV to vent to atmosphere it will cause problems, unless you have a translator and air sensor. But that is another subject anyways I hope these questions are not to dumb and I just couldnt find the info but no one really said were the wastegate vacum lines hooked up to?
Thanks!
