alright so i bought a bullseye T04B V-trim from a guy who blew his motor. My plan was to put it on my stock GS-T. I thought I'd do a test on the internal wastegate actuator to make sure it was set to 12lbs. When i did the test I discovered that the actuator is leaking because it takes a lot of air volume @ 12lbs to get it to work. now i have no idea where to get a new actuator because i can't adapt the stock T25.
If anyone knows a part number or anything useful that would help. I'd like to get my DSM on the road by monday.
thanks!
Brian

also i did the tests using pressure. i assume that they both work that way. if anyone knows if i need to to vacuum or something let me know. thanks again

Can you hear the air leaking out of it? What do you mean by it takes alot of flow? There should be no flow the 12psi should go into the diaphram and activate it.

first let me say i'm a total newbie at turbos. so i put a tube on the nipple for the actuator and used a hand pump to try to achieve 12psi and activate the actuator but didn't work so well. so then i got my air compressor, attached a pressure guage and tried again. i was able to get it to work. yay! so then i was thinking about why the hand pump wasn't doing the same thing. i took the tube, blew into it and it felt like the air was leaking off. i donno if that makes sense.
i've decided to throw it on the car and test it out. i did notice that the stock actuator opens and closes faster than this 1 does, also the new 1 opens all the way @ about 30 while the stock was about 25. if you know any good things to test i can go do it.

ok i gotcha. It will be very hard to activate the wastegate with a bike pump since you need constant pressure. Hook your compressor to it and set the regulator at 12psi. if it opens its good. Just make sure its not opening at like 6psi or you will have trouble hitting full boost as quick.Any more questions? One more thing. Different turbo's carry different wastegates so the way they open and close varies.
