hey my problem is that the wastegate arm that connects to the little post, has a clip that is supposed to go thru and hold that arm, well mine fell off and i went to put another clip but its like the other one got stuck inside the post and the rest broke off. anyways how would i be able to get that clear? a punch? a small drill?

Do you have the waste gate arm off? If not it's gonna be a pain.

I had a similar thing happen to me a last month. (( Piper 150 Airplane had a rusted door pin hinge. The cotter pin rusted off. >.<))

Pull the arm out of the way and try scraping the walls of hole to jostle it loose. You might even need to take a wire and try hammering it through. Or PB blaster it to work it loose.

yeah the wastegate arm can come on and off, so i was thinking maybe pulling it off and a small drill to clear it, it looks rusted on the inside of the post

My only reservation about using a drill is if you put too much side load. :/ A pick or a wire would do fine for start, but if it looks like it's in there solid, make sure it won't move before you start drilling. Nothing worse than pushing too hard and breaking a tiny bit. @..@

I've seen everything in my day....someone tack-welding the pin or threading a nut on the end of the actuator pin because they couldn't remove the piece of broken clip.

On old 14B's, almost every clip breaks off....fortunately, I've yet to meet a clip I couldn't remove by some force of nature. ;)
