Wastegate actuator

Here's the problem, I am having all out boost. I put a vacuum tester on my wastegate and it will hold the pressure but the wastegate actuator arm will not move even when I put about 30 psi of vacuum to it, so i'm guessing it's stuck. Is there a way to get it unstuck or do i need a new one.

Try unscrewing the actuator from the turbo and then see if you can get any movement from it that way.

You need a replacement assuming the test was done right. I wouldn't imaging it would be too hard to locate a T25 in boneyards instead of paying $100+ for a new one.

You will never get the wg to open when you apply vacuum. The wg is designed to open under positve pressure so you need to find a different testing method. The easiest way would be to rig up a fitting and vacuum hose on the end of a bicycle pump and test with that. Im sure you can get creative and figure it out. If not, pm me and I will tell you how to do it.

I'm going to try the bicycle pump today. I still have my T-25 turbo in a box, if the actuator is bad could i use that one.

Never mind my previous post, I missed the VACUUM part and I didn't check your profile. No, the T25 actuator will not fit on a 16g, sorry.

Yea i tried the bicycle pump today and my wastegate actuator opened but it was hitting the heat shield so it wasn't opening all the way. Thanks for the help.
