correct me if im wrong but dont you jus tee off the hose to your wastegate. becuase the mbc restricts air to the wastegate to not open at 7 psi like stock instead to whatever you set it at so where ever you have your wastegate connected at tee it off and connect it there
Nope, that's how the BCS works, but 99% of the MBC's block the pressure from reaching the wastegate rather than bleeding some of the pressure off. Once the boost exceeds the setting, the valve opens and allows pressure to open the wastegate.

well i have installed my new greddy 60mm mech boost gauge today and im idling at 500 and im still not getting any more boost past 13-14psi, i dont know if this damn mbc is hooked up correctly...but still cant boost past 13 and i cant find any pictures of wherepeople have hooked their turbo xs mbc to

The gasket under my BOV is leaking and I cannot get more than 12 PSI. Why is your idle so low? Get a can of starting fluid or carb cleaner and spray around your throttle body/BOV, you must have a leak somewhere and it does not take a gaping hole to lose a lot of boost. Mar

Replace the stock 2G BOV. It won't hold the boost you're looking for. It leaks like a rusted bucket. I had the same problem until installed a new UICP and 1G BOV. I left my MBC untouched for the first test drive. With the 2G BOV I got 11-12 psi. With the 1G BOV and same MBC setting I pegged my boost gauge! :nono: I only did that once. I can now set the boost anywhere I want.

The BOV was brought up before, now by a 2g owner. The 1G BOV's performance can be enhanced by a www.dejontool.com seal kit. He alsohas a good price on a new BOV and installs the kit for $9.95 I believe. I ordered one yesterday for my 1g BOV so I can boost above 20PSI with confidance. Mark

wow you guys really helped me out a lot i have already ordered my ssqv(hks) and itll be here tom. now all i got to do is do the install myself because i didnt get the kit so im going to try and get a 2.5 inch pipe and weld the bov to the pipe and then insert it where the old bov was and tighten it down with those clamps so thanks everyone and ill see what happneds when i get the new bov installed... :thumb:

The new BOV will solve your low boost problem fer sher. And remember, recirculate don't vent. :thumb:

oh i know all about the whole recirc thing ive done tons of research on it and after this purchase(bov)ill be getting the maf-t possibly...or upgrade my fuel system

I bought the same thing about a month ago, and I'm not impressed. The hoses leak unless you clamp them down good (no clamps are supplied), and the BOV still flutters unless you're blowing off from a high PSI. I'm thinking of selling it and getting an HKS.

This thread is on the second page and you still have not perform a leak test yet. :toobad:
