ok, i installed a agp rs49 the other day, but i can't seem to boost less then 25psi. i'm guessing that my wastegate is stuck closed or something, but i can move it freely when i take off the actuator arm.

can someone explain to me some thoery about how to the wastegate works and what i am supposed to be doing with the arm?

i have a general understanding, but i might be thinking about everything wrong.

not sure if the actuators are the same concept between internal and external wastegates, but when I hat the actuator off of my 16g there was no pushin or pullin to it. I don't think it's supposed to move until the pressure from the boost controller tells it to, so if yours is moving, it might be shot.

the WGA is what keeps the WG closed until the desired boost level.

if you took if your WGA and the WG is not moving, it's probably stuck. try hitting it with a rubber mallet to loosen her up. if not, call the company you got it from and see what they have to say.
