washer pump and wiper motor???

A few days ago, i tried to turn on my wipers...and nothing. I then tried to pull the little arm to squirt the washer fluid...nothing. Both worked fine the day before...is it likely that both went bad at the same time? Could it be a bad connect in the steering column somewhere? The cruise control LED still comes on when activated...

Check the fuses as well as the wiring under the dash could have came loose.
