Does anyone know how to fix a warped bumper? Is there anything that can be done? In the front near my front mount, my stock one kinda has a dip to it. I want it to be straight again. Any suggestions?

Apply heat to the back of it with a heat gun, and if your lucky the bumper should go back to it's original form. It's called plastic memory, don't apply to much heat, or your paint will bubble.

If you don't have a heat gun, a hairdryer should work. :thumb:

sorry liquidus....im gonna have to totally, (but respectfully) disagree with you :thumb:

your right about plastic memory, but that only works when plastic is being pulled on over long periods. the sagging up front is cause by no reinforcement. mitsu sticks a rebar up there..im guessing yours is gone (2gb conversion? the heat gun would probably make matters worse... the good news is its not even stretched...it just needs support. pull the bumper off and lay it on the ground...the sag comes right back up right? now thats pastic memory! ;)

do this. go to a good body supply store and ask for rocker filler. the exact name escapes me now...but its an expanding automotive foam that dries hard as a rock..but light as hell. clean the entire area inside the sagging spot. scuff it with...say 80 grit for kicks (but it really doesnt matter) then shoot this stuff in there....its like areosol foamy crap. you dont need much..

let it dry and your done..good as new...the best part is the stuff is like 5 bucks...

hmmmm wait a minute...scratch EVERYTHING i just said...i misunderstood the question. how exactly is it warped? a pic might help. i thought you asked about a saging front lip for a 2gb (how i got that, i'll never know). ok im an a-hole, ignore me  i'll leave this here tho..maybe it'll help someone. :thumb:

you helped me! thanks!

Mine is actually warping upwards like something is pushing up on the center. Any ideas on this?

yeah..ive seen a few cars like that...every time it was the metal rebar inside...you might have hit something that bent it up..the bumpers fine (thats why it looks ok) but the metal is bent upwards..just pull it out and straighten it out...

hope that helps
