Wanting to buy a dsm

i am wanting to purchase a 1g tsi. it has the following done to it.
Engine.
Block bored .20 over,new ceramic coated pistons
Big 1G rods,all new bearings and seals throughtout
Balance shafts removed
New timing belt,all new pulleys and tensioner,and new water pump
New radiator
New 160* thermostat

its for 4500. is this a good deal
the only bad thing is the 16g and stock smic is this gonna cause me to hve heatsoak and knock alot? and also will leaky valve stem seals cause any major damage besides fouled plugs? what else should i check for besides compression test? thanks guys i really do appreciate it and hopefully ill be joining the exciting dsm world very soon!!
oh and is 16psi safe boost on this car if all the 02 readings and egt temps are good

I would think that is a hell of a deal that i would jump on in a second. U would be running 12's easy with a fmic. Anyhow yes you can run 16psi on the stock IC but i wouldnt recommend it. Heat soak will only happen at the track mainly or if your gettin on and off the thorttle on the freeway. Just make sure you let it cool between runs or put a fmic on it. But i wouldnt be to worried about knock or anything. Looks like he has all the fuel upgrades and suspension and tranny upgrades u would want so if i were you id buy it

BTW i didnt see any kind of fuel control? do you know if he has a safc and a logger? or dsmlink? I would suggest not runnin that car past 15 psi until you have a afc and a logger so you can set you fuel settings than you can actually see how much knock you actually have.

well he doesnt he had a pocketlogger but he sold it ummm where can i get a pocketlogger from and what are all the parts i need. do i need a afpr?so i should turn the boost down to 14 or 12? well im kinda new to this so if u can help it would be greatly appreciated
