I should know the answer to this but ask it anyway. Can you use the rfl turbo xs and will the car run bad.I thought it had washers to allow it to be used direct without a problem or is that for the h34 one so it can be used both ways.I have draw thru maf right now and know with blow thru type it would work fine.

Really it depends on the car some will run fine venting and some wont. My car is one that wont but i have a friend whos car runs perfect while venting.

I used to run one on my car....at first it would stall like hell....but then i went to the hardware store and used a couple more washers...actually a whole shit load LOL....and it worked fine..no more stalling. I now have a turbosmart megasonic, and it runs great...plus it sounds alot louder.....for example..at 14psi with a HRC 20g, the rfl was freakin loud..like on a scale of 1-10...id say a 8.....now with my GT35r and 14psi, the turbosmart megasonic is deafening...in a good way though.....on a scale 1-10....easily a 15....hope this helps man :thumb: :talon:

I have the RFL and have never had any of the bad symptoms that everyone says you will get from venting.

You're still running rich every time you blow off ;)

I thought that I would be, but I haven't noticed it. I don't get any worse gas milage, and no black smoke between shifts.

I know the gm maf and maft lets me run vented to atmosphere blow offs if you hook the maf up blow thru.I have mine draw thru and not sure want to change to blow thru style.

I did just see that there are several new blow offs that are dual ported so might just go for one of those. How do the turbosmart dual ports sound? I kind of like the turbo xs sound, buddy has a rfl.And not sure about that other new make forget the name..its got 1g flange already and vents both ways its like 300 bucks.!!

why wouldnt you want to change it? it will be the same difference. there are no gains by having it a certain way. you have it, that is all the car cares about performance wise.
