So as the title states, my walbro 255 is screaming, it is making a really loud noise. It is rewired. The pump was working properly about 5 to 7 montsh ago. I haven't turned the car on since, could the car sitting for that long made the fuel pump go bad?

I’ve never heard one talk let alone scream. Your car may be possessed.

Is your fuel level perhaps low? They are louder when there is less fuel in the tank. What kind of fuel are you using? If it’s been sitting 5-7 months hopefully it does not have much ethanol in it.

You may want to take a video with audio and post it. It’s also not a bad idea to pull the hangar and inspect the pickup sock for clogging.

So this is the condition of the pickup sock. I had installed a new sock when I said I last turned it on. Maybe I turned it on a couple more times, but that was it, and the 5 to 7 months passed by. What could cause the sock to be so dirty and cloggled?
