Yes, unless you like experience fuel overrun. No, but seriously you do need an afpr if you plan on using the walbro 255.

Oh man, i've never heard of using an afpr with a 255 befrore ever.

Seriously, how many times can one thing be covered and still no one finds it.

Yes, you need an afpr or you risk washing out your piston rings and diluting your oil with fuel. Which is bad. Get an afpr.
