I have a Walboro 255 fuel pump lying in my basement and was wondering if it would help at all to add that to my 97 Talon TSI? I have a big 16G turbo but stock injectors and stock MAS. I have heard that it would be overkill without first upgrading injectors. Any thoughts?

I dont *THINK* you need to upgrade your injectors, but you will need to have an AFPR.

The fuel pump won't be overkill but you will need a new Aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator and you will definitely need a tuning device, whether it be an SAFC, DSMLink, ECU+...

It won't be overkill on stock injectors. Just get an AFPR and install it at the same time. The 255lph will overrun the stock FPR. I would also rewire it when you install it.

Yea, definitly rewire it right away. You'll have to do it sooner or later, so you mine as well do it when you install it the first time.

Also even with the rewired 255 & AFPR but especially with stock fuel system keep the boost low (wastegate spring only?) until you have at least a logger and better yet upgraded injectors and a controller too.
