This is nonsense. My car has sat for 2 weeks because I keep buying new seals that are completely the wrong size for the car. I've tried 3 aftermarket seals and they just shred instead of pressing in because they are way too big!

I don't know wtf is wrong with these crap parts but I guess I need an OEM part # if someone could look it up please. Driver's side going into the trans on a 95 tsi awd atx.

Make sure you use something completely flat to equally distribute the force when " pressing " it in. I usually use a small block of wood.

Jack's usually ship orders the same day it's placed, especially if you call to order, really stand up guys there.

That looks right, thanks!

I've done on other cars which is why I was so stumped by this one. The seals I got locally were just plastic donut shaped ones that were just too large to fit.

No problem, I've never liked using auto-part stores for any oil seals, they are of far less quality than OEM's, and usually not much cheaper.

I've never had trouble with other cars, but the talon had a seal that was mostly metal. The auto-parts store ones were an entirely different style, so to anyone looking this thread up beware!

Resolved, thanks guys!
