VRSF or ETS street 3 1/2

Trying to get help deciding which one of these to buy. The ETS street seems to be easier to install and also should be a better fit for my 2ga Talon bumper cover. There isn't much info about the 3 1/2 or 4 inch thick ETS street and the price seems just a little more than I'd like to spend. The VRSF seems to be a great value, but the fact that it is on back order is a turn off for sure since I'm not buying an extra J-pipe just to use with my new 68HTA for 3-4 weeks.

I gave up on the VRSF purely do to back order and im on a time crunch. I felt the VRSF would have fit my build but I also fear the "you get what you pay for" slogan.

So I decided to spring for the ETS 3" ultra short route, I encourage you to look at the price difference between their short route and their "ultra" short route if you decide on the ETS, I found in the end that the extra money really didn't bother me for the reduction in piping.

Either way, I am confident the arguement between cost and reliability of such cores will continue for a long time coming. I did also do some research via google and found a very interesting thread on Evo M regaurding ETS cores. There was some great break down comparisons between them and garrett cores, very informative, see below for the link.

Thanks for the link. I've already read that particular thread and it does point to the ETS as being a top notch product. Those guys only have to buy a new core when they upgrade intercoolers, it must be nice.

Its up to how much you want to spend. The ETS kit is much better for much more money. People do like the VRSF kit however.

All depends on the amount you want to spend. The VRSF is a great budget intercooler, and has been proven over and over again. For the price, you CAN'T beat it, but as stated before, ETS is a much more efficient core, however much more expensive as well. 6 of one, half a dozen another.

Does anyone here use a 3 1/2 or 4 inch thick 7 inch tall ETS street intercooler? I would like more opinions of this one in particular.

Decided to go with the ETS Street 7 inch tall by 3 1/2 thick intercooler.
