today it was about 40* outside which isnt really that cold. i got in and tried to drive but the trans was kicking my as$. i usually bump second and throw it into first, but i couldnt get into any gear with out really slamming it. i know transmissions are stiffer when theyre cold, especially in DSM's. just wanted to know if anyone had a VERY hard to shift trans and any problems came of it? thanks

I have a hard time getting into second when my cars cold... just let it warm up... easy solution...

The fluid won't warm up unless the gears are moving, the tranny is still cold even if you idle for 10 minutes :shhh:

i think the problem is a little more complicated. i have to push the pedal to the floor completely to get into any gear, so im going to try and bleed the system and adjust the rod on the master cylinder. if that doesnt work, i might have to replace master/slave.... and finally i may have to do the mod where you lenghten the rod on master cylinder -- any advice is greatly appreciated guys- thanks

yeah my car kicks my ass too when its cold... i am going to order some new fluid here someday, but i let it warm up for 6 minutes or so, temp gauge was good to go, then i had to double clutch when i upshifted and downshifted (i usually do when i downshift anyways) but it was really stiff...even when i got to school (about 15 minutes from my house) it was still like that, but as it got a bit warmer outside, it shifted like butter when i got out of school :thumb:
