I was driving on the highway today. All was fine until my trip back.
I was in 5th gear, and all of a sudden, it popped out of gear. I thought that maybe it was just a one time happening and thought no more of it. A couple of minutes later it happened again. At this point I'm very confused and worried about what it could be. The rest of my ride home, I have to hold it in 5th gear so it won't pop out. And, when I get back to city driving, my car is magically idling lower than normal.
There was no popping out of other gears, just 5th. I have no idea what this is.
The idling problem, I'm thoroughly confused about as well. I highly doubt these two incidences can be linked in any way, but they could. If not, I'm more worried about my popping 5th gear than anything at the moment.
