What have you heard about these piston's? And where to get them/info on them for our DSMs. Ive been looking around but can't come up with a web site to get them for our DSM's. If I do find anything soon, Ill post it.

Since they don't list anything on their main site I am gonna say they don't make them for our cars. Easiest thing to do would be get their phone number off their site and ask them if they make them. IMO just stick with the proven one's for our cars, Wiseco, JE, Ross.

They do make them custom and they are in the same price range. Venolia is what funny cars etc. use. Also you dont have to buy them as a set if you only need one incase you melted one.

Thanks guys. Im stuck between Venolia, Ross, or JE piston's for my 2.3L stroker motor. Guess everyone else know's about as much as I do about these ones LOL. I have seen a set for our car's, and they look, and sound bullet proof...especially if funny car's use them :D Also another thing that draw's these to me, is that Im doing a lot of work to my car that few if any have done to DSMs, and this would be one more thing to add to the long list :)

But funny cars only use them for one pass.

I second what 95blackGsTurbo said. Even though I haven't looked throughly at Venolia site to find DSM parts it doesn't look like their specialties are in this area.

I'd recommend Eagle crankshaft, Ross/Wiseco/JE Pistons, and Eagle/Crower/Scat rods. These manufactures specialize in performance parts for DSMs and since you're going to 2.3L stroker the last you you'd non-performance parts which could ruin your whole engine.

I have ran JE, Ross and Venolia pistons.
I have encountered no problems with any.
However, Jackson has a nice variety of custom Venolias you can choose from.

If you are not looking to get into big science on your motor any of the three should do fine as long as the machine work is done properly. People have said in the past JEs piston slap and that is not the fault of the piston, but the machinist who bored the block wrong. You should have no more than .005" between the piston(no rings) and the cylinder wall throughout the bore.

Although which ever you choose I would recommend getting them coated. It protects against higher heat and reduces wear.

Go with Wiseco, they are already coated on the skirts and are a proven product with decades of support.
