Is there a upgraded vc gasket any where or is there something else I can do to prevent leaking from the front and back of the vc not so much on the sides though, I have the pvc to the intake deleted and welded shut along with the one to the intake tube deleted too, in replacement of the 2 I have id say quater sized wholes added and fittings in them that lead to a nice size oil catch can with a filter on top of that and then another line going to my turbo, at first I used no sealant on the vc gasket and it leaked then I used it only on the head and it leaked now I used it on the head and the vc and it's still leaking, I gave it a day to sit before I ran it, any ideas I'd like to not blow through oil LOL

pcv will cause a low vacuum in the crank case which will keep the engine from leaking.

you want to keep the PCV valve, but use a sealed catch can to keep the oil/fuel/water vapors from getting into the intake manifold. that way you will still have the vacuum in the crankcase while normal driving.

they you need another catch can between the valve cover and the intake pipe. you need to keep the intake tract clean. oil residue can cause detonation, and will build up inside your turbo and intercooler won't transfer heat as efficently

i came across the kits for the evo x but they have universal kits too.

i would think the best thing to do would be get a dual CC setup (closed system) and then work out a way to add a dedicated boost/vac gauge connected (to crankcase). with out one, how would you know if your getting adequate ventillation

I've seen it done many times how I have my set up though and I've never herd of any problems even evos have it this way but when u say sealed can so should I not run a filter on the can which is another thing I've seen done

First off, never reuse the valve cover gasket. They always leaks if reused. I just clean everything and put sealant only on the corners. You may need to replace the rubber bushings on the bolts. They get old and also leak. I use a felpro gasket. Seems to work great.

Felpro gasket, make sure the head surface AND the inner channel where the VCG lays are as clean as you can get them. I personally never use any additional sealant, but if you must, only use a small dab in corners or where there are bends.

Most important thing though.. DO NOT OVER TORQUE! Follow your service manual (you do have one, right?:thumb:) for torque specs and proper tightening procedures.
