Basically it is the handle of a tool that is ised to pull up the grates on a grill, a 3" 3/8 extension, a 19mm socket(should have used 18) some all-thread that i heated and bent to shape, some bolts that thread ALL the way down into the cam bearing retention cap holes, and a peice of brake hardware that i found laying around the shop. Hell, i even used the broken drill bits used to make all the holes as the pivot shafts.

It made it through 4 valves, before the handle started to bend. Imma gonna take it into work tomorrow and see if i can beef it up some.

I just finished making another one,but my camera is dead. I'll get some more batteries and post new pics tomorrow.
for this one, I welded two 1/8 steel plates together and increased the hinge-pin sizes some. I'm gonna put more of a handle on there for better leverage, this new one should perform a lot better and last alot longer.
I'll sketch it out and post the dimensions up here as well.
 
Here is the new and improved model, I took my time, and BS'd a good bit and got all the springs removed/replaced, and seals changed out in under 2 hours.

The materials needed are as follows-
Two peices of 1/8 plate steel or 1 peice of 1/4 inch steel, the 1/8 was easier to shape, and the "lamination" of the two plates ought to lend some strength.
One 3 inch 3/8 socket extension
One 18 mm deep socket
3/8 or 1/4 bar stock(for "claws") I used all thread, i didn't have a problem with the looks of it.
1/4 inch dowel pin(hinge for compressor)
1/8 dowel pin(hinge for claws)
3/4 Inch pipe, you can find it at home depot, i use rigid conduit, ### it was free.
IMPORTANT!!!
If you use any galvanized steel and need to heat it with a torch, work in a VERY well ventillated area, and have fan to draw the fumes away from you and your house. When you heat galvasnized it releases VERY poisonous gasses. Don't even play around with this stuff, it is incredibly damaging to your nerves!

Oxy-Acetalyne torch setup or any torch that can get steel cherry red
Drill
Grinder
Mig Welder
Pliers
Vice
Sand paper
1/4 drill bit
1/8 inch drill bit
Hammer(many sizes)
Tools that make the job easier(not needed)
Drill press
Band Saw
Channel locks
Sandblaster
Big Metal Table
Anvil
Roll Pin Punch
Vice Grips
Center Punch

What i did was put the two peices of metal in the vice, and heated them induvidually, and bent each one to match the other. When i was happy with the shape, I sandblasted the metal to remove the mill scale(black stuff on steel when you buy it from home despot or anywhere)then welded the two plates together.
I Notched the end of the 3/8 extension to allow it to slide over the lever, then centerpunched and drilled a 1/4 hole through the extension, keeping it square with both ends of the extension.
I put this at the inner apex of the lever, and notched the lever so that the extension could get a good amount of swing.
I then heated and bent the jaws so they fit around my head attachment.
I located all of my holes by my calibrated eyeball, so your tool may vary a bit.
I'm tired and got work on 6 hours, so i'm cutting it short here for now, any questions, just post em.

Didn't have a spare c-clamp lying around, but thats another style of thinking.
