Anyone have any idea why the heck when I use the euroexport valve spring compressor, and I compress the springs all the way but the keepers won't come out? LOL... It's pissig me off.

do you mean the keepers, or the locks? im assuming you mean the locks. are they sticking into the keeper or into the valve?

if they are sticking in to the keeper then i would assume the are shellacked in there from prolonged cooked oil. see if you can take a small drift punch and spin the in the keeper to free them up (do this after you tighten the tool down to compress the spring and keeper)

you could also put a bit of trans fluid on the tips of the valve tips/locks/keepers, let it soak and then rinse it out with some brake parts cleaner. this would only be if you have the head removed.

the drift punch and light tap of the hammer would ###### be quicker.

if you can post a pic of the troubles youre having that would be helpful

Also before you start to compress them just give them a little tap, mine did the same on a few for some reason I think they have never been removed before. It does not always work though! when you first start to compress it use the flat head to knock them and they will break away but be very careful as the last thing you want is for some of them to fly off into the oil holes

I'd see if you could get a friend to help you out. Have them hold the magnetic rod or whatever you got to catch the keeper when you knock them loose so they don't get lost, then you'd really be pissed. But just a couple light taps with a flat head should crack them loose.

Head is off the car, ill try tap em loose and see if that helps. So I need to prevent the valves from opening when compressing?

Wad a rag up and place it in the combustion chamber, that will stop the valve from moving when the valve spring is compressed.

If the valve locks stick to the stem, use a small flat head screw driver in the gaps between the locks, just twist,
