Vacuum line from wastegate to turbo

I have done several searches and found conflicting information. I am starting this tread to determine if this is okay or not.

IS IT OKAY TO RUN A VACCUM LINE DIRECTLY FROM THE TURBO TO THE WASTEGATE?
(I have an adjustable actuator and no boost controller)

But you might as well answer this - Is it okay to splice your boost controller in that line as well? Just to help everyone else out.

The only reason I ask is because I want a very short vacuum line and splicing it into the blow off valve line is definately not short.

If you run a vaccuum line from the turbo to the wastegate, it will run just fine at whatever boost level your wastegate is set at. You can cut that line in half and connect the line to the turbo to the inlet on the MBC and connect the line to the wategate to the outlet on the MBC. Then you can adjsut your boost levels.

Either way, the turbo will run just fine and the only way you could hurt it is if you over-boost using the MBC.

Actually you may want to get your intake pressure source from the line that goes to the bov to the intake manifold. There was somebody here that posted a pic of it done this way and the bc was mounted on a valve cover bolt, looks pretty nice.

Either way works...if you have aftermarket LICPs, they usually come with a nipple on them just for that purpose. If you don't use it, you'll need to cap it off. I just like not having a whole bunch of vaccuum lines running across my engine bay, so I try to keep them as short as possible.

Thanks fellas....the reason I didn't want to use the BOV line is because its soo long....but then I believe I heard that the readings on the compressor can be scewed.
