As you can see by my post count in relation to when I joined this site I dont post much. I can usually find whatever I need through searching but im getting desperate.

I was doing some work in the area of the fuel rail and regulator when I slipped with a wrench and hit the vacuum fitting on my SX afpr and sheered the fitting right off. :thumbdown I was lucky enough to have an ez-out that fit and was able to extract the threaded side cleanly. Obviously now I need a new fitting, but I cant find anyone that has one, or even definitivly knows what size it is!

My question is: Does anyone know where I can get a new fitting? brass, aluminum -whatever it doesnt matter. ALSO, what size is the fitting? It looks to be about 3/16". And is it NPT or what is the pitch of the threads? (I will make this $*%^&# if I really have to.)

Thanks for the help guys.

I tried searching as well and found nothing but the Essex Industries Website which has many dead links.

If you still have the threaded piece of the vac port, I'd take a trip to HomeDepot plumming isle and try to match it up. BTW, in the fasteners isle there is a plastic bolt scale which will tell you what size it is. My "guess" is 1/8 NPT.

Good luck, and thanks for helping me decide to get the Aeromotive ;)

Thanks for the replys guys! I went searching from place to place today and didnt have any luck. I tried Home Depot Racing, Pep Boys, and a few performace shops in the area to no avail.

One good thing is that I was told its 1/16" NPT for the threads. I took about 60 close up pics so everyone can see how it broke, I will post the best one in a few minutes after I upload it.

99gst_racer: I look forward to seeing if you get a reply from Essex.

Damn thats a good idea, they assemble half of the unit too so they should have some parts laying around. Thanks, I will call them tomorrow. :thumb:

Try that old school auto parts store in your area.

I tried two of them, no luck. I was told to try a hobby store that sells small gas engines like for remote controlled cars/airplanes because the fitting is so small. That will be my next stop if I dont have any luck calling Buschur.
