Vacuum distribution block off of brake booster line?

I'm installing a vacuum distribution block and where it's mounted on the firewall it's right next to the brake booster line. It would be very clean and easy to put a T in the brake boost line to feed the distribution block.
Besides brakes having less effectiveness should a line pop off, would it be ok to use? Is it an accurate enough place to measure vac\boost (i.e. MAP sensor, etc)?

It's a pretty big line. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Just make sure to tap before the check valve in the line.

I teed my map sensor for my boost gauge on the brake booster line and it has been working great.

It will work, but I'd personally stick with a dedicated line for the brake booster and just tap another port for less critical vacuum sources. I'd hate to get caught off guard when a boost gauge line fails and my brakes stop working as expected.

If you are dead set on doing it, make sure to tee into the IM side of the booster line's check valve.

calan: I will keep that in mind and be sure to use clamps on any lines to and from the distribution block for extra insurance.

It's best to just drill and tap your intake manifold with one large 1/4 and run it to the vaccum block. Map sensor will read just fine.

Can you run a bov and MAP sensor off the vacuum block? Some people are saying not to "T" into bov line.

i run a identical setup and have had no issues using the brake booster line
