Ok I have some questions for doing a vaccumm leak test.

First can you just connect a vaccumm guage somewhere around the intake manifold to find out and if you can what should the vaccumm be at idle. (My boost guage is teed off at the fuel pressure solenoid and registers the vaccum at idle, it is at 10)

is it safe to spray carb cleaner around the intake pipes to check for leaks.

also is a boost leak test the same thing as a vaccumm leak test if not what is the difference.
