vaccum throttle body lines

what do the vaccum lines on the top of the throttle body control? can i just cap them? will i lose anything from it like heater controls or anything?

Those go to your EGR solenoid, evap and and fuel pressure solenoid. Here's a thread on removing them

No, you have to actually understand how they work before you can make any decisions. Then you have to find out how to properly disable them all. You'll need to search and read, I did a little searching for you.

Depending on emission laws for your state will be the deciding factors for what you do. Here in Arkansas we have almost no emission laws, and none required to register a car. So most of the unneccesary emissions bs may be removed.

i live in northern michigan, theres nothing here either. so what can and cant i do, i dont want to hurt the car at all.

Do some research and see what parts of the emissions system can be blocked off without negatively effecting the car. I had a massive amount of vacuum lines ran every where in mine when I bought it. I had to cap them off and then get the haynes manual out and run everything like it was stock.

FYI: Removing any emissions equipment is against FEDERAL law. Just because your state doesn't check for them, doesn't mean it isn't against the law to remove them.

This includes the catalytic converter, EGR, EVAP/purge stuff, o2 sensors, etc.

you will need various sizes in various link. RRE has you covered if you dont wanan just buy a lot of different size hoses and do it yourself

Or you an just copy that, and buy it yourself.

1gs use a lot more 4mm ID hosing.

My fault I should of mentioned that on my first post with the taboo vacuum delete. You really should take into consideration your state laws with emissions. I know for a fact here in Missouri they don't check for emissions but I still leave mine on and still have my cat.

The 1.8L 4G37 came from the factory with the EGR system blocked off so I don't feel bad at all about blocking off the system on my 2.0L 4G63. I've had my EGR system blocked off for 6 years now and have never failed an inspection. I hope I'm not jinxing myself though as my inspection is due this month...

I passed in Arizona recently with an external dump, a catch can, and not a single vacume line (all the lines on my tb are capped off). Egr is also blocked off and my cat it hollowed out, just depends on your inspector because mine was a "car guy" and said he liked the pink as well haha.

There's no difference between properly capping them off and having that setup shown previously. If you want a cleaner look and don't want to spend the money on getting the tb shown above but a 1g nt tb and cap off the two ports on that.

You have much bigger problems if the rubber caps wear out every 3000 miles.

They should last just as long as a rubber vacuum line..

The EGR will throw a engine code. Im glad i live in iowa they dont give a shit.
