2G using Engine Ice for coolant

ive used Engine Ice in multiple high power applications, with way more sensitive motors than the 4G63 (nickasil coated jugs, on high octane with high compression pistons), and have had OUTSTANDING RESULTS! there is no question in my mind that a Mishimoto X-Line radiator, with 2 flex-a-lite fans hanging on it, with a belly full of engine ice! yep, thats the winner for me.

Distilled water and a bottle of Water Wetter or equivalent simply to lube the pump is all you need. No since in reinventing the wheel here, IMO.

nothing cools better than 100% water. once you get that through you head than the second thing is you need to ad as little as possible to the water to satisfy two other cooling needs. florida doesnt need freeze protection, so we only worry about keeping system rust free. I found the additives that claim to do that with 100% water do not work. I would see rust in just a few weeks. I settled on about 20% antifreeze. cheap but affective. as far as water wetter or DEI products I found them to work as advertised to drop temp about 10 degree in my case. but I also found them a waste of money if you cooling system alone is capable of keeping temp at or near your thermo opening temp.

you should run evans waterless coolant! ive got it but not running it just yet, its not water and does not expand and pressurize and its rust free aswell

evans coolant was the biggest rip off I tried. it is nothing more than straight antifreeze. car ran stupid hot with it. was a tuning nightmare. and the a/c flat had no chance of working.

oh thats the first ive heard of evans being bad, i bought it because a few friends i know run it and its amazing for them, they have never had any issues on overheating or anything. well im going to stick to it since i got it now.

All I know about the Engine Ice was that the free bottle that we got brought down the temps in the Spec Miata that was running it compared to just water. I prefer Water Wetter though.

I've run engine ice in 450 dirtbikes and a zx14. No noticeable difference to write home about.
