Hey,

I searched for this but didn't find some info I need to do this project.

I saw it on the underhood hot-click photo diagram, and I found 1 article on how to do it, but the guy must have been from Canada because the fuel filter he used he bought in Ontario. I haven't been able to find one like it. I want a see through fuel filter to install as a catch can...will this one work?

jcwhitney fuel filter

If not, anyone have a link to one they got and works well?

Anybody know what size hose/tubing that is coming off the valve cover so that I know what size fuel filter to buy?

I'm planning on changing out as many of the vacuum lines as I can at the same time with this Larson Hose Kit from Road Race Engineering since the ones I have look like they've seen better days, plus these look a little nicer.

On to my next post...I have a couple other questions and don't want them overlooked in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Keeping a bunch of oily crap out of your intake doesn't help? Can't hurt.
That was one of my reasons. The other was because I was anal on getting my fuel trim correct.

BE AWARE THIS CAN F**** YOUR VALVE SEALS I WOULD'NT DO it . THAT MOD COST ME 700.00 in repairs
I would love to know how if it was done correctly. I would bet that your seals were already on there way out. People have been doing this for years. As have I.

I used a fram on my car.It plugged up fast and the car started to leak thru all the gaskets and blow oil out the tailpipe.Thought blew the engine.I think just use a straight hose to the ground!! I did have a catch can setup too from rre but added the fram as figured it would be extra cleaning so the catch can would not get as much oil on it.I don't think I hurt the valve seals or turbo seals seems to not be putting oil out the back or leaking now. Also can't see how you could spend 700 on valve seals. You simply need to take off the valves springs which does require a special tool and pop in new valve seals. But I guess you also have to take the cams out.Ok guess it could be expensive if you pay someone for this.

700$ because parts and labor, timing belt, and balance shaft belt, and that you could use a normal spring compressor had to order a 200 tool from snap on

Not to mention oil in your intake lowers the octane rating of your fuel, and oil burned during combustion gums up O2 sensors with a quickness......
