2G Using 1G ECU With 6 bolt 4g63t in 2g TSi AWD

So my 2.4l engine has been in the machine shop since October and cylinder 1 is toast so while I look for another 2.4L block I went and bought a JDM 6 bolt 4g63t front clip with tranny and all. Now my car has never been e tested (ontario emissions) due to it being heavily modified, so I'd like to have it e tested with this stock engine, I don't have a 2g ecu it came with aem ems but I have the 1g ecu and wondering if I can run that with my current harness or do I need a 1g harness, as this is just temporary set up to get an etest and then swap in my aem, turbo injectors and etc. I've searched about using the 1g ecu but everything is mentioning the 2g ecu.

Maybe it's my searching skills:ohdamn: or maybe there isn't much about it.
 
It is possibly but not worth the time to do it and your probably going to have to cut some wires and all those goodies. because once when you think about you will be going from an OBD2 to an OBD1. Which is something like what the Honda guys been doing. But they have venders who builds those jumper wire to make it a direct bolt on.

so, why try to get a 1g ecu to work on a 2g when a 2g ecu is as easy to find and will be a direct bolt on and as cheap. Imo, get a 2g ecu and its a done deal.
 
By front clip, do you mean the whole front end of the car (body, wheels, ect.), and if so was it a 1g? If so there should have been a harness I would think.

I got the whole sub frame. Engine suspension tranny ecu and the world famous jdm hacked harness etc. I have a buddy who works at magnus said it would be easier to use my aem ecu.with my current harness using the 1g would require a lot of hacking. So using a 1g ecu is useless pretty much.
