I am in need of getting my talon rolling again for cheap as possible. What do u think would be the best route? Just go OEM? A used act from the classifieds, or the F1 brand of ebay? Either way i go im definately going with an OEM TOB, my act tore up my current setup. I also plan on replacing clutch fork master and slave while i do this. Any other things i shouyld replace while i have it out. Im ###### getting the flywheel turned also.

I would recommend NOT getting a clutch used, you just never know how somebody rode it. In regards to that, it's the driver that ruins parts and wears them down, not the pressure plates brand or something. For pieces besides the clutch components, go OEM. Those are going to be the strongest pieces you can get, and again it's how you drive that will determine how long the pieces will last. While you have it apart, it's usually a good idea to replace anything that CAN wear out. Go on a venders site and check out all of their clutch pieces, such as the pivot fork, clip, etc... Might as well replace them all as cheap insurance. In regards to the flywheel, turning it (if you even can) won't do anything. Get it resurfaced. You can have heat marks on it that you want to get off of it, and you'll want it to be freshly surfaced for a new pressure plate. This kinda go exactly against how you wanted to get it moving, but when it comes to the critically important stuff such as the clutch, there really isn't a cheap reliable method.

ebay clutch xtd worked good for 1k miles then i sold my car, howeve the disk wasnt machined right from the factory and I had to file it down to get it to slide on the shaft. I hear horrible things about them but mine worked good for the 1k miles except the tbo started rattling. Id go wth a used act that is like new from the classifieds.
