2G Upper window weather strip workaround?

Hi! So I have browsed around about this part of the window seals on the 2G that tends to disintegrate, and an old thread suggested https://jnztuning.com/ but the part seems long discontinued now. Is there a workaround to minimize wear if not a replacement? It's only the right side that's splitting, doesn't bother me aesthetically, but it's crumbling away leaving the metal exposed.

They are very sought after and as you guessed, long discontinued.

This guy has started making them or you can get the DIY kit from him too.

A cheap and decent way to clean them up is to sand them down very well and spray them with Plastidip. It's not great but pretty good and should last a couple years.
