You get a D- for reading comprehension. Note that I was giving context to my statement.

Feel free to post the Evo3 vs 50 trim sales statistics, Einstein. Many people get the evo3 because they don't want to pay the premium for the garrett bb 50 trim or are upgrading from stock turbo. Again, note that OP is upgrading from Big T28.

And btw...looks like you missed this post by OP:

Thats why i actually went with 50 trim SBR G50, new SBR Cast manifold with 38mm tail W/G rerouted to DP before electric cutout with MAFT Gen 2 and WBO2

And whenever I can afford good cams and DSM link i can hit something a lot higher without updating everything again

Pwned!!

I did'nt buy my e16g for the price, I bought it because I believed it was the best turbo for my application for a stock motor. Honestly I think i should of went with the 20g. Its a great street turbo for begineer modders but its not the end all in choices of turbos.

I have nothing against the Evo3, I was always talking in reference to the OP "upgrading" from a big T28 to Evo3 16G. I mean, that's like having a big 16G and "upgrading" to an Evo3 16G. What would be the point?? Sure the price is cheaper, but for people like him the value doesn't compare to a 50 or 57 trim bb turbo because the latter has much better upward potential while still being a street turbo. Obviously he agreed and decided to go 50 trim. Which begs the question why we're all still debating this anyway?

A 50 trim can be had for close to the same money as an evo3, I considered one when I bought my new evo3, and to say that a 50 trim is streetable on a dsm is an oxymoron. pwned!!

Again, the original post asks about 350+ whp. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely for the average tuner? No.
YES! That was the original question. Someone could use a reading comprehension class.

Every time I've talked about 50/57 trim I have referred to garrett bb. Want to show me one for under $600 new? No chinese knock-offs.

A 50 trim isn't streetable? Are you daft? Wait, don't answer that.

And OP already went with 50 trim. Apparently he doesn't want to struggle to make real power and would prefer to skate past 350+. And btw, where are those evo3 vs 50 trim sales statistics? Yeah, didn't think so.

It does'nt matter what the original poster did, the original question was being answered for future reference. I really dont think that anybody has to post sales of evo vs 50 trim. I think we all know that the evo 3 blows the others away, there is a reason the evo3 got knocked off (its a huge seller for people like you that dont comprehend). Now go away and quit trolling if you have nothing factual or informative to add to this post, which you obviously dont since you have no experience with any turbo other than the ones you have READ about somewhere or heard about while hanging out in the local wal-mart parking lot at 2 am. Mods: can this be locked now?

Why are we so obsessed with making numbers on a dyno? There's so much more to tuning cars than a number. Who cares? If your is fast to where you like it, runs well, hit boost quickly and solid, then so what? I'll take a car with a good and safe tune that runs awesome than a car pushed to the edge just to say I made XXX horsepower. Ugh.

Ok, now you're getting desperate. Sorry, but didn't you post this?:

No its YOUR blanket statements that are ridiculous! The evo3 is an instant winner, look at the sales my friend! Plenty of people love the evo3, in fact I would say that more people like the evo3 than the 50 trim anyday, again look at sales.

Indeed you did. Which means you're posting misinformation if you are using statistics as the basis for your argument, but you have zero data to back it up. In fact, you can't back of any of your points so far. Let's look at your most recent claims:

1. Evo3 sales > 50 trim sales
2. 50 trim being streetable is an oxymoron
3. Evo3 is close to the same $ as 50 trim.

If I know nothing about turbos as you say, then you know jack shit. Start backing up your claims or quit posting misinformation.

I only own and installed the 50 trim and the evo3, why would'nt I know anything about them? Are you trying to state that the 50 trim sales are close to the 16g? Call some of the top shops: Buschur, Slowboy, etc and ask them how many 16g turbos they sell compared to 50 trims. I go to both shops since they are both about a 2 hour drive for me, and they are where I bought my turbo(s). I did plenty of looking around before I bought my last turbo (evo3) and decided that I wanted something more than the 50 trim. The 50 trim just was'nt what everyone cracked it up to be, very dissapointing. The evo3 is the man for the job, The evo3 has made up to 400hp, and that is the original posters questioning, whether the evo3 could do 350 or not, and the answer AGAIN for the 3rd time from just me is YES it can, now go play in the street. By the way 1. Evo 3 or 16 turbo sales ARE greater than 50 trims, 2. the 50 trim is no where near as streetable as the 16g, again I would know since I happen to have first hand experience unlike you. 3. 50 trims can be had for less than the evo3 if you look around, again I would know from buying them both, the evo3 actually cost me MORE than the 50 trim. (we're not going to compare a ball bearing 50 trim here since the 16g does'nt currently come in ball bearing form, apples to apples here).

Again, YOU made the claim about Evo3 vs 50 trim sales. Therefore, you are responsible for backing it up. Where is the data? You are full of shit.

Oh 50 trims cost LESS than Evo3 now? Again, show me a 50 trim for < $550 new that isn't chinese ebay garbage. Everyone here would love to see where so we can all avoid buying an Evo3.

And sorry, my entire line of argument for 50 trim has revolved around bb, so you should have realized that before you called me out. I would never buy a journal bearing 50 trim. Stay in school kiddo.

And quit posting misinformation.

How about "everyone here" couldnt care less about the 50 trim. Here I thought I was dealing with someone with at least a basic knowledge of dsms, then I find out you are driving a pos t28 with an AUTOMATICROFL Get a life pal, then get a real car and a real turbo, and then come back and see us. Good to see that you've been "into" dsms for like 4-5 years now:rolleyes: Your a$$ sucks wind pal, I have no responsability to prove anything to you about evo3 sales, we all know that the 16g blows away all others in sales figures, and we all know that the 50 trim can be had for CHEAP if you shop around, in fact I've seen them for under $500 plenty of times. Just because you have a boy crush on someone in your "car gang" that has a 50 trim does'nt make it better than the evo. Like I said get more experience and then come back and see us. Oh, and grab a paper towel there is something wet behind your ears.:boring:

Aww, a little emotional? Looks like I hurt your feelings by constantly embarrassing you with your own words. Now you're retreating from your 50 trim vs Evo3 sales figures and you are now including all 16g sales? Well good thing I quoted your posts before you could go back and edit them.

Yeah, race rebuilt a/t's are sooo shameful to own. I just don't know why pros use them at the strip. No loss of boost, consistency, and long gears? Nahhh! And gee, it sure sucks having a b28 that flows the same 550cfm as Evo3. I thought Evo3 was king shit? Getting desperate? Ha!

Where is the sales data for Evo3 vs 50 trim?
Where are the < $550 50 trims new?
50 trims are streetable?

Report back when you have my data.

Oh jesus, I've been debating a riceboy. :toobad:
